By submitting a quote request through our website or by purchasing our products and services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Company Information
Sofo Soler Moris Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us", "our") is a solar energy solutions provider registered and operating in Mauritius. Our principal place of business is located in Goodlands, Mauritius.

2. Products & Services
We supply, deliver, and install the following products across Mauritius:
- Solar water heaters (HomeSolar, HomeSolar SS316, Duraco, Resiglas)
- Water pumps (TAIFU and other brands, 0.5HP to 1.5HP)
- Air conditioning units (Superen Hybrid Solar AC, Hisense)
- Water storage tanks and solutions
- Plumbing materials, concrete slabs, electric backup heaters
- Installation, maintenance, and removal services
3. Quote Requests
3.1 Online Quote Form
Our Smart Quote System generates automated, non-binding estimates based on the information you provide. By submitting a quote request, you:
- Confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
- Consent to be contacted by our team via phone, email, or WhatsApp regarding your request
- Understand that the quote is an estimate and final pricing may vary based on site assessment
- Acknowledge that quotes are valid for 7 calendar days from the date of issue
3.2 Quote Validity
All quotes issued by the Company are valid for 7 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. After this period, prices and availability may change without notice. An expired quote does not constitute a binding agreement.
3.3 Site Assessment
Certain installations require an on-site assessment before a final quote can be issued. This includes but is not limited to:
- Plumbing requirements: Pipe runs, connection points, and material specifications vary by property
- Inclined roof installations: Additional frame adjustments and mounting hardware may be required
- Complex installations: Multi-story buildings, difficult access points, or unusual roof configurations
Site assessments are provided free of charge and without obligation.
4. Pricing & Payment
4.1 Prices
All prices quoted include VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 15%) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices include standard delivery and installation within Mauritius. Additional charges may apply for:
- Non-standard installations requiring additional labour or materials
- Structural modifications to the property
- Emergency or out-of-hours installations
- Removal and disposal of existing equipment
4.2 Payment Terms
We offer the following payment options:
- Pay on Delivery: Full payment upon delivery and installation of the product
- Bank Transfer: Payment to our bank account prior to delivery
- DBM Water Tank Grant Scheme: For eligible water storage products, subject to government scheme terms
Payment is due in full before or at the time of delivery unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.
5. Delivery & Installation
5.1 Delivery
We offer free delivery throughout Mauritius for all solar water heaters and qualifying products. Delivery dates are agreed upon at the time of order confirmation. While we make every effort to meet agreed delivery dates, these are estimates and not guaranteed.
5.2 Installation
Standard installation is included in the quoted price for solar water heaters. The customer must ensure:
- Safe and clear access to the installation site (roof and connection points)
- Existing plumbing meets minimum requirements for connection
- An adult (18+) is present on the property during installation
- Any pets or obstacles are secured/removed from the work area
If our installation team cannot proceed due to conditions not disclosed at the time of the quote, additional charges may apply or the installation may be rescheduled.
6. Warranty
6.1 Product Warranty
All solar water heaters sold by Sofo Soler Moris Ltd come with the manufacturer's warranty as specified at the time of purchase. Warranty periods vary by product and brand. A warranty certificate will be issued upon installation.
6.2 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modification
- Damage resulting from natural disasters, lightning, flooding, or other acts of God
- Normal wear and tear, including anode rod degradation
- Damage caused by water quality issues (excessive hardness, corrosive water)
- Systems installed or serviced by unauthorised third parties
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
6.3 Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact us with your warranty certificate number, a description of the issue, and photographs if possible. We will assess the claim and arrange inspection or repair within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
7.1 Before Delivery
You may cancel an order at no charge provided the product has not yet been dispatched for delivery. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
7.2 After Delivery
Once a product has been delivered and installed, cancellation is subject to the following:
- Removal and return costs will be borne by the customer
- A restocking fee of up to 15% of the product price may apply
- Products must be in their original condition, undamaged and unused
- Installation charges are non-refundable once the installation is complete
7.3 Defective Products
If a product is found to be defective upon delivery, we will replace or repair it at no additional cost. Please report defects within 48 hours of delivery.
8. Business Customers
For business customers providing a Business Registration Number (BRN) and/or VAT registration number:
- You confirm that the BRN and VAT numbers provided are valid and correctly registered
- Invoices and estimates will be issued to the registered business name
- The authorised contact person named in the quote request is empowered to act on behalf of the business
- Payment terms agreed with the business apply; the business entity is responsible for payment
- VAT-registered businesses may reclaim VAT as per Mauritius Revenue Authority guidelines
9. Data Protection & Privacy
9.1 Information We Collect
When you submit a quote request, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and physical address
- For businesses: business name, BRN, VAT number, contact person details
- Property information: household size, roof type, existing equipment
- Photographs of your roof (if provided)
9.2 How We Use Your Data
Your personal data is used exclusively for:
- Preparing and sending your quote
- Contacting you regarding your enquiry
- Processing your order and arranging delivery/installation
- Issuing warranty certificates and handling warranty claims
- Improving our products and services
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is stored securely in our customer management systems (Zoho Books and Google Workspace) with appropriate access controls.
9.3 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for the duration of our business relationship and for a period of up to 7 years after your last transaction, as required for warranty obligations, tax compliance, and legal record-keeping under Mauritius law.
9.4 Your Rights
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time

10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the sale or installation of products shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including loss of income, business interruption, or property damage not directly caused by our products
- We are not responsible for delays in delivery or installation caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, the Smart Quote System, and design elements, are the intellectual property of Sofo Soler Moris Ltd and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
